Top 10 Best Juicer for Pomegranate (2022)

In this guide, we discuss the best juicer for pomegranate. Pomegranate is one of the most difficult of fruits to juice. That is because of the presence of fleshy, gem-like seeds. It is difficult to remove the seeds and enjoy the juice that this wonder fruit oozes with. It then becomes imperative to have a slow juicer which will be able to extract the maximum out of a pomegranate.

There are some other methods too. One can always try to carve out the seeds and squeeze them in a strainer.

The pitfall to that will be the loss of a whole lot of juice. No matter how hard you squeeze there will be some wastage coming over. It is also labor intensive and does take up much time.

Not to say of the mess that gets created. So if pomegranate, with all its numerous health benefits, is the go-to fruit, then a pomegranate juicer is the kitchen appliance that you need to go ahead and buy.

One of the other benefits you would get by buying one is that other than saving time and energy, it squeezes out the nutrients to its last drop. The wastage is almost minimum to nil.

This article is all about the pomegranate juicer which will be able to give us the most out this rather difficult fruit.

Now before you go ahead and buy a pomegranate juicer, there a certain you need to be careful about:

  • Durable and food-safe materials, preferably stainless steel. This is important because you do not want your appliance to break down more often. Also, you will never allow your family to consume contaminated juice.
  • Protection against acids on the surfaces
  • Non-toxic plastic components. This is again related to the first point. They have to be BPA free materials and preferably FDA approved.
  • Ergonomically designed handles for easy operation. This cannot turn into a slugfest. The juicer is there to enhance your cooking experience and not turn the entire affair into a blood bath.

Kitchen Kraft Large Commercial Juicer

OVERALL RATING : 9.3/10 (Recommended)

The Kitchen Kraft comes with an all metal body. It is made of cast iron and steel. It is a tad small in size, but then never underestimate a juicer on the basis of its size.

What matters is the performance it puts when confronted with a pomegranate.

Because of the small size, the base does get a bit unstable at times. However, as a residential juicer, this is quite adequate for most purposes.

What We Love

  • Comes with a sturdy metal body
  • Works somewhat okay with pomegranates

What We Didn’t Love

  • Small in size and hence not always effective against large sized fruits
  • The screws have a habit of getting loose

Gourmia GMJ9970 Large Citrus Juicer

This is a large juicer, so space needs to be created in the kitchen if you intend to buy this one. It is cast in solid steel and has an enamel finish at the base.

The rest of the body is stainless steel with cast iron handle. One of the greatest advantages that this juicer has is its long feet with rubber suction cups attached to it.

This gives the pomegranate juicer extra stability which is an important factor when it comes to hand press juicers.

There is a lemon squeezer that comes with the juicer. One of the disadvantages this tool has that it is unable to deal with larger fruits. So before you put in a pomegranate or a citrus fruit, make sure it is halved.

It is tall and sleek and adds that classy feel to the kitchen

What We Love

  • Large body and build
  • It is quite a sturdy juicer
  • Has long legs with rubber suction cups for greater grip

  1. Omega NC900HDC Juicer Extractor and Nutrition Center

  • Motor power: 150-Watt
  • Equipment Material: Metallic
  • Pitcher capacity: N/A
  • Number of speeds: 80 RPM Low-Speed
  • Warranty: 15-year warranty
  • Force: 2HP

Now the Omega is not just a juicer but technology has taken it a bit further. It is an extractor. That would mean, whatever nutrients you expect in pomegranate will be in that glass of yours.

However, it churns rather than whizzes past. Unlike the 10000 RPM Flash Gordon-esque juicers, this is a slow one. At 80 RPM, it slowly and steadily unleashes its brute force to squeeze the last bit of minerals and juice.

Also, since it presses against the wall, there is no contact with the air. This prevents oxidation. And since it moves slow, the motor heat will not boil up the enzymes.

One of the greatest advantages you have while using the Omega is its ability to pulverize the leafy vegetables. Its motor produces enough power equivalent to 2HP and hence no ingredient is good enough to stand up to it.

One thing you need to be aware of when you buy the Omega NC900HDC is that this is not your regular juicer. It will take its time to pull out the juice in a manner most juicers won’t.

What We Love

  • 15 years of warranty for parts and accessories. No other juicer or extractor has such a long warranty period
  • Because of its low speed, the extraction is immaculate and near perfect.
  • It is adept at extracting from most food products. Also, one can prepare baby food with élan in this tool
  • The motor is the highlight of the juicer. It produces power equivalent to 2 HP and hence it is able to pulverize most ingredients.

What We Didn’t Love

  • The Omega is a near perfect juicer. However, not many can adjust to its slow speed and hence that can be taken as a disadvantage.

  1. Breville JE98XL Juice and Extractor

  • Motor power: 850 Watts
  • Pitcher material: Stainless steel
  • Pitcher capacity: 8 oz
  • Number of speeds: Hi-speed
  • Warranty: 1-year limited warranty
  • Dishwasher-safe parts
  • 6500 RPM on low & 12000 RPM on high
Breville JE98XL Juice and Extractor

Breville has been in this business long enough to understand the needs of the demanding customer. Its centrifugal extractor is a much in demand appliance that has both personal as well as commercial usage. Breville comes with a plethora of choices and can be considered one of the market leaders in this segment.

One of the reasons why this appliance is such a sought after kitchen tool is because of its 850-watt motor coupled with razor-sharp stainless steel blades. The 12000 RPM that the motor enables is enough to pulverize the toughest of pomegranates and citrus fruits. But it does not stop there.

Imagine waiting for a cup of carrot juice and it comes to you in less than a minute. That is how efficient it is. However, it does give out the same noise as other blenders since it works between 6500 RPM to 12000 RPM in a plastic shell. So if the intention is to have a conversation while using the Breville then it would not be of much success.

The juicer is not much of a player when it comes to leafy vegetables. That is because of the design the blade chamber is of. It is super effective when it comes carrots and apples, but thin leaves are a no go.

The showcase of the Breville is the speed at which it creates juices for you. And it is because of this that this juicer and extractor is such a winner.

What We Love

  • Speed and incredibly so
  • Comes with 2-speed modes
  • Has auto overload protection
  • Extremely easy to clean

What We Didn’t Love

  • Not handy for green leafy vegetables
  • Has a warranty for only 1 year
  • Noisy

  1. Tribest GSE-5050 Greenstar Elite

  • Pitcher material: Stainless-steel
  • Pitcher capacity: 16 oz
  • Number of speeds: SLOW 110 RPM
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Warranty: 12-year warranty
Tribest GSE-5050 Greenstar Elite

OVERALL RATING : 9.3/10(Best seller)

This is a twin gear juicer which most kitchen appliance aficionados would want on their countertops. The Greenstar is an affordable alternative to all the other biggies in the market and is remarkable at what it does.

Ask it to crush and squeeze out every last bit of nutrients from the fruit and the Greenstar will not disappoint. The secret is its twin gear, three stages juicing system. When you add fruits and veggies, the Greenstar will first crush and then slice them using its powerful blades. Sterner stuff like cabbage leaves or celery will be automatically cut by the cutting teeth, a feature most juicers do not have. One of the advantages that this process has that this significantly reduces clogging and tangling but then if that ever happens, there’s a Reverse button. Press it to release the clog.

What We Love

  • The twin gear is at the heart of the operation
  • Strong veggies can be easily pulverized
  • Multiple pressure settings
  • 15-year household warranty and 3 years for professional

What We Didn’t Love

  • Large and heavy and does take a lot of space

  • Motor power: 240 Watts
  • Pitcher material: TRITAN food grade anti-oxidation materials
  • Pitcher capacity: 75MM
  • Number of speeds: 43 RPM
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Warranty: N/A
SKG Slow Masticating Juicer Extractor
(Value for Money-Popular Brand)

A stylish juicer for pomegranates from the house of SKG, this extractor is not just stylish and enhances the style quotient of the kitchen but is also extremely efficient in what it does. Also, because it is horizontal in shape, it tends to take up much less space.

The SKG works extremely slow. Like really slow. At 50 RPM, if you are expecting things to work at breakneck speed, you are mistaken. Ad precisely this is the reason why the SKG is one of the best in business. Because of its slow speed, it can not only squeeze the last bit of nutrient of the ingredient but also not let it oxidize. Hence, what you get in your glass or bowl, is pure energy. And if you doubted whether this slow-moving juicer would be able to do leafy vegetables, then you are in for a surprise. It quite easily can. Never be mistaken by its delicate built. It is deceiving. It can pulverize almost anything and turn it into a heap.

However, the one disadvantage it has is clogging. It clogs quite easily.

What We Love

  • Is a compact juicer and takes very little space
  • Quite easy to clean
  • Is multi-functional
  • Comes with a 2 years’ warranty for all parts and 10 years for the motor and other body parts
  • High juice yield due to its powerful blades and low oxidation due to its low speed

What We Didn’t Love

  • Clogging is one of the main issues that plague this wonderful tool
  • Is Expensive

How to make a Pomegranate Juice?

This is a two-step process:

  1. Seeding

  2. Juicing

1. Seeding

  • pomegranate
  • 1 small sharp knife
  • 2 bowls (1 large, 1 small)

2. Juicing

  • Blender
  • Mesh strainer
  • Container for liquid
  • Spoon

The process to seed a pomegranate

  1. Cut a slit, a shallow one on the top of the pomegranate and remove the crown
  2. Cut three shallow slits through the outer rind, all the while following three of the white pith lines, from the top of the fruit to the bottom.
  3. Pull the fruit apart and make three sections of it
  4. Now submerge the fruit in cold water to separate the pith
  5. Now pour the seeds through a strainer to remove the remaining pith
The process to juice it
  1. Place the seeds in a blender
  2. Pulse them but not for too long. The seeds should not break but just release the juice
  3. Use a mesh strainer to strain the pomegranate liquid into a bowl
  4. Use the back of the spoon to push towards the seeds to extract as much juice as possible
  5. Chill
  6. Your pomegranate juice is ready
